Lacking a premium web image hurts premium brands

Luxury brands are notorious for having difficulties transferring their brand online. Why? Because there aren’t a lot of web design companies that specialize in premium luxury. The web industry is still trying to find itself, and although companies like Pixelcarve have really carved out a niche (pardon the pun) for premium luxury creative and production, most studios will try to be all things to all clients.

Unfortunately this is leading to a frustrating web experience for many of the world’s highest-end brands, as is discovered by this Retail Technology Review article. The likes of Dior, Paul Smith, Molton Brown, Gucci and Louis Vuitton have all been put to the test, and the results are disappointing to say the least.
